About Us - Western Canada's Crestron Experts

Intersystem Controls is a Crestron integration company serving Greater Vancouver and Whistler. Our reputation is built on precision, reliability, and clear communication.

What We Do

We deliver Crestron integration across three focus areas: design‑build projects for new homes and commercial spaces, system takeovers that restore reliability to existing installations, and professional services for AV integrators who need senior programming and design support.

Our small, hand‑picked team brings deep expertise and clear communication to every project.

How We Began

Intersystem Controls began as a services‑led Crestron specialist, solving hard problems and standing behind our work. As demand grew, we expanded into full design‑build integration while keeping the same service mindset and disciplined delivery.

Our Team

Chris Carmichael

Principal

Since 2014, Chris has successfully run ISC and propelled us to be the largest and most successful Crestron Programming Company in Western Canada. Chris traveled the world working as an AV technician before landing in Vancouver and applying himself through BCIT night classes and real world training to become an accomplished and respected Crestron programmer.

Trevor Davis

General Manager

For more than two decades, Trevor has been a fixture in Vancouver’s AV industry, earning a reputation as one of its most respected leaders. He has overseen some of the city’s most complex and high‑profile projects, bringing a meticulous eye for detail and a calm, client‑focused approach to every engagement. When a system has passed through Trevor’s hands, the result is a finished project that feels considered, polished, and as close to perfect as it gets.

Steve Main

Lead Project Manager

Steve has been a go‑to name for AV on some of Whistler’s largest and most complex homes for nearly two decades. His reputation among local trades is built on a deep understanding of building processes, paired with fast, clear responsiveness when it matters most.

Walter Schmidt

Lead Designer

Walter has been designing AV solutions for over twenty years, with a focus on systems that are both complete and carefully costed. His attention to detail helps ensure that designs are coordinated, practical to build, and aligned with the budgets and expectations of everyone involved.

Arnaud Marguerite

Senior Systems Programmer

Considered one of Canada’s leading Crestron Programmers, Arnaud’s Diamond Master Certification is a testament to his passion for the Crestron Platform. Like Chris, Arnaud came up as a technician before trading the tools for a laptop. This gives him a deep understanding of all integrated systems and makes troubleshooting problems efficient and effective.

Daniel Ferrari-Morton

Senior Systems Programmer

Daniel began his career in the electronics industry as an Avionics technician before transitioning into the custom installation business. Known for his obsessive attention to detail, he thrives on new challenges and applies his broad expertise to deliver exceptional results for clients.

Nikita Pelipenko

Senior Systems Programmer

Nikita had worked on some of the most illustrious homes in Europe before moving to Canada. Nikita took the AV path to becoming a systems programmer, starting as a technician and working his way up the ladder. This gives Nikita a comprehensive understanding of the systems we work on. Nikita has broadened his horizons since joining ISC and now is not just an accomplished Crestron programmer but is also qualified in Biamp and QSC programming.

Alan da Silva

Systems Architect

Alan is a real unicorn in the industry. An award-winning AV System Designer and CAD Drafter, he brings a real can-do attitude to all he does. It doesn’t stop with design, for Alan is also an accomplished Crestron Programmer, DSP expert and installer in his own right.

Nathan Genusa

Systems Programmer

Nathan embarked on his journey into the world of AV programming as an intern with a leading company in the United States. During this time, he honed his skills in system design, troubleshooting, and Crestron programming, mastering the complexities of AV integration from the ground up.

Jacky Nahn

Field Technician

Jacky joined Intersystem Controls with deep experience on large‑scale AV projects, and it shows in the way he manages every detail on site. His meticulous documentation and methodical approach make him a trusted extension of our engineering team—and a favourite with both colleagues and clients.

Michael Deng

Junior Field Technician

Michael is a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s Mechatronic Systems Engineering program, bringing a strong foundation in complex systems to every project. His curiosity, calm problem‑solving, and eagerness to learn have made him a quick study in the field and a valuable member of the team.

Nina Balabanova

Office Administrator

Nina helps turn our technical capabilities into a smooth, well‑run operation. She keeps projects, schedules, and communication moving in the right direction—and, as a bonus, she brings a sharp eye for design that elevates our internal and client‑facing materials.
